Let’s Celebrate to New Learnings

３学期の学習を楽しみましょう

Students came back from their festive vacation with happy faces and bright smiles.

楽しい冬休みが終わり、笑顔の子どもたちが学校へ戻ってきました。

 The fun activities will match all the energy they gained from their vacation.

最初の単元はエネルギーチャージしてきた子どもたちにぴったりの活動です。

The celebration will continue in the Funglish classroom as the 5th graders began to learn the Japanese events and seasons.

５年生は日本の行事や季節について学習しています。

 Indeed, the rich traditions and culture in Japan should be know and celebrated.

この学習を通して、日本のすばらしい伝統と文化をみんなに知ってもらいたいです。

Our students have learned the English terms of the events in Japan.

今まで日本の行事について学んできましたが

In line with this, we also introduced some famous festivals in the Philippines.

そのときに、フィリピンの有名なお祭りについても紹介しました。

The students were amazed because we only have two seasons which is summer and rainy season.

また、フィリピンには雨季と乾季の２つの季節しかないことを知って、子どもたちは驚いていました。

This is a great opportunity for the students to be exposed to a different culture. 

日本とフィリピンのちがいを紹介することができてよかったです。

They can easily tell and identify the different annual events with correct pronunciation.

子どもたちは、簡単に、そして正しい発音で、日本の行事について話したり、確認したりできました。

They can also tell the things they usually do in these events.

いつもその行事ではどんなことをしているのかも言えました。

Throughout the lesson, we played the “Alligator Game” which they enjoyed as they showed what they had learned.

授業で学んだことを、アリゲーターゲームで楽しく確認してきました。

 In the coming weeks, we are excited as the students will do an individual presentation.

これから子どもたちがどんな発表をしてくれるのか、とても楽しみにしています。
